“A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS”
This is a concept that states that only by engaging people in active and authentic dialogue at a public and private level will we have the opportunity to achieve sustainable social change within marginalised communities.
It is about people having the capacity to participate fully in their own solutions, not reacting to ideas imposed on them from outside.
This works on the principle that the people are not the problem and that sustainable solutions to the problems they face can be found within them.
- It is about searching for innovative ways to empower people to communicate effectively.
- It is service providers knowing how to listen to every voice in their community.
- It is about the core values of truth and courage – accessing your own personal, authentic truth and finding the courage to express it openly.
The Polar Bear Community (PBC) Ltd is committing all its present and future projects to the development and expansion of this concept.
We are indebted to the COMMUNICATION FOR SOCIAL CHANGE CONSORTIUM, (Listening…Learning…Local Voices Leading Change), through the guidance of its Director, Denise Gray-Felder, for providing an intellectual foundation and resource for
“A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS”
We work actively with many partners to deliver our programmes and will continue to form networks and collaborations with other organisations and individuals who appreciate and want to participate in “A Voice For the Voiceless”.
We are not the way, we are another way amongst many
We have no competitors, only others who may share the same goals as us
